Student Edition: Each Student Edition is designed with every chapter framed around an Essential Question. Children connect personally to the content through the myStory features and develop a deeper understanding of the world's history and geography as they see how others experience the chapter’s theme. Project-based activities and support for all learners take your child beyond the printed page and into active experiences of the world in which they live.

Student Journal: The Essential Questions from the chapter set up the Student Journal to help children reflect, interact and write about their experiences as they explore the material. It also provides graphic organizers, chapter support, and a two page writing exercise to help students demonstrate enduring understanding and transfer their learning to their world.

Student Journal Answer Key: The answer key corresponds with the student journal providing suggestions for assessing Writer’s Workshop essays, extra guidance for working with Essential Questions, and answers for all Student Journal activities.

Parent Guide: This guide walks you through the program highlighting the main elements of the student and teacher materials and provides guidance on setting up your lesson plan, pacing, and adapting the curriculum to fit your family.
